Taipei Exchange (TPEx) and FactSet UK Limited (FactSet) have agreed to collaborate on the development and production of a series of benchmark indices focused on climate resilience. The two parties’ agreement, signed on Aug 18, kicks off the first of a series of groundbreaking launches in the climate investing arena for the Asia-Pacific region.
In launching the benchmarks, TPEx and FactSet will turn to Entelligent Inc. for the indices’ underlying models. The TPEx FactSet climate index series will employ Entelligent’s U.S.-patented T-Risk model to measure constituent securities’ financial resilience as they make the transition to lower carbon climate scenarios.
Following the kick-off of its collaboration with FactSet, TPEx will launch a series of climate resilience indices to further raise public awareness about climate issues, and to provide investing opportunities to investors in Taiwan.
